I help organizations transform metocean data into reliable decision support through numerical modeling, operational forecasting, scientific software, and metocean analysis. With more than 15 years of experience spanning consulting and research, I develop technical solutions for offshore energy, coastal infrastructure, and environmental applications. I hold a PhD in Physical Oceanography from Louisiana State University. For over a decade, I worked as a research scientist in the Department of Oceanography at Texas A&M University, developing regional ocean forecast systems and studying coastal ocean dynamics — from submesoscale frontal eddies to boundary-layer mixing and ocean acidification. Recently, I worked at a consulting company dealing with metocean design criteria and site characterization utilizing modeling and publicly available datasets. That combination of applied modeling, research, and consulting is what I can bring to various clients across offshore energy, coastal infrastructure, and environmental projects.
I develop decision-support solutions by integrating observations, numerical models, and metocean analyses. When suitable datasets are unavailable, I build regional ocean models and operational forecasting systems to generate the information needed for engineering and environmental decisions.
I combine numerical modeling, observations, software engineering, and automation to develop practical solutions for complex coastal and offshore challenges. Whether building an operational forecast system, evaluating metocean conditions, or developing scientific software, my focus is on producing reliable, decision-ready information.
I am open to opportunities to work as a consultant, a contractor, or a full-time employee. If you are interested in, please contact me on LinkedIn.
